Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 1, 2026
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They remember preferences, generate statistics, or personalize content.
2. Good news: SeoNova uses VERY few cookies
Unlike most websites, we do NOT use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or advertising trackers. We’ve chosen privacy-friendly tools so your experience is clean and free of intrusive cookie banners.
3. Cookies we DO use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Technical · Cloudflare | Distinguish humans from bots (DDoS protection) | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Technical · Cloudflare | After passing an anti-bot challenge | 1 year |
_clck | Analytics · Microsoft Clarity | Anonymous session ID to improve UX | 1 year |
_clsk | Analytics · Microsoft Clarity | Group events from a single session | 1 day |
Technical cookies (Cloudflare) are strictly necessary and don’t require prior consent (GDPR Recital 32 and art. 22.2 LSSI-CE). Analytics cookies (Microsoft Clarity) are first-party, anonymous, and load only after your explicit consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR) via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, Clarity does not load and no analytics cookies are stored. You can change your mind anytime from the ”🍪 Manage cookies” link in the footer. They are not used for advertising and do not cross-reference personal data.
4. Cookies we do NOT use on product, contact or legal pages
- ❌ Google Analytics
- ❌ Facebook Pixel
- ❌ Advertising cookies (on these pages)
- ❌ Third-party cross-site tracking cookies
- ❌ Social media cookies
In addition to the Clarity cookies for usage analytics, we also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is 100% cookieless: it tracks pageviews and Core Web Vitals without storing any identifier in your browser.
5. Ads on the blog (Google AdSense)
Important: ads are served exclusively on our blog (/es/blog/* and /en/blog/*) via Google AdSense. The rest of the site (homepage, directory, WordPress optimization, team, contact, legal pages) contains no ads.
When you visit a blog article, Google and its partners may set the following cookies:
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads, __gpi, __eoi | Advertising · Google AdSense | Impression frequency capping and fraud prevention. | Up to 13 months |
IDE, DSID, id | Advertising · DoubleClick | Personalised ads and conversion measurement. | Up to 13 months |
ANID, NID | Advertising · Google | Cross-site ad preferences. | Up to 13 months |
Prior consent (GDPR/ePrivacy): before these cookies are set we display a banner powered by Google Funding Choices (an IAB TCF v2.2 certified CMP). You can accept all, reject all, or customise. If you reject advertising cookies, ads will still appear but won’t be personalised (Google will serve contextual ads based on the article content rather than your profile).
To change your mind: revisit any blog article and use the privacy icon to reopen the consent banner. You can also manage your Google ad preferences at https://adssettings.google.com/.
6. How to manage cookies in your browser
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Firefox: Preferences → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies
- Edge: Settings → Privacy → Cookies
Notice: blocking Cloudflare technical cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.
7. Changes to this policy
If we add additional cookies in the future (e.g., when we launch the commercial app), we’ll notify you with a clear, GDPR-compliant cookie banner before installing them.
