This document applies to the SeoNova Bot Radar plugin for WordPress. For the seonova.pro website, see the legal notice and the privacy policy.
The idea in one sentence
SeoNova Bot Radar runs inside your WordPress site and keeps its data there. Nothing leaves your site unless you switch it on or press send.
What stays on your site
- The last 1,000 front-end visits: IP address, user agent, requested page, the bucket SeoNova Bot Radar put it in and, if you enable reverse DNS, the host name. They are kept in your own database, in a table that is overwritten as new visits come in.
- Daily counters for the last 60 days, with no IP addresses.
- Your settings (RPM, weekly report email, options).
- All of it is deleted when you uninstall the plugin.
Because the plugin stores visitor IP addresses, mention it in your own privacy notice. You are the controller of that data on your site.
What can leave your site, and only if you allow it
- Anonymous weekly statistics (off by default). If you tick the box, once a week the plugin sends to
https://seonova.pro/api/bot-radar:- aggregated counts for the last 7 days (total visits and how many fell into each bucket);
- the verdict level;
- the plugin and WordPress versions, the panel language and a random identifier created on your site.
- Never the domain, IP addresses, user agents or any visitor data.
- Feedback form. Only when you write a message and press send, we receive:
- your name, your email, your message and your site address;
- if you tick it, the same anonymous summary.
- We use it to answer you.
- Reverse DNS (off by default). If you enable it, SeoNova Bot Radar asks your server’s own DNS resolver for the host name of the busiest visitor IPs, to spot cloud servers. That query goes to whatever DNS your hosting uses, not to SeoNova.
How we handle what reaches us
Statistics and feedback arrive at SeoNova as an email, delivered through our email provider Resend. We don’t sell data, we don’t combine it with other sources and we don’t use it for advertising. Feedback emails are kept as long as needed to answer and follow up. Statistics are kept to understand how the plugin is used.
No tracking in the admin
SeoNova Bot Radar doesn’t load analytics, pixels or any remote script in your dashboard or on your site.
Your rights
To access, correct or delete what we hold about you, write to [email protected]. Switching off the statistics box stops any further sending.
